New Covers for The Dinette Seats and Rear Bed

BEFORE
Almost good enough to keep, but not quite....

The foam and batting

Fabric is cut out and piping (welt)  is made

Close up of the welt and fabrics

The Chevron is pinned

Below is the reverse side of the seat back
It is a different look, and does not have piping

The Zippers

More pinning and sewing
The Waverly "Maui" fabric that the chevron is made from is also being used for the curtains

All Stacked up with No Place to go....

Zipper being pinned (out of order pictures!)

The Dinette Seat Cushions - DONE

Close up of the back rest cushion top

And the LONG, LONG rear "Sofa" (Couch?) Bed Cushions
At 80" long, this is a FULL 6'8" of sleeping length!  Wow.

The Vintage Cabinet Hardware

Well, since they are so hard to come by....I decided that they had to be kept.  Problem was, they were the faux gold tone finish....hate that.  Hate the word "faux" also. Here they are as found:
Close up
They are really neat vintage style pulls
Here they are, with the bakelite type end caps masked off
Here they are with the primer applied...
And with a few coats of flat black finish coat
It was the only alternative, as the faux silver (chrome) always looks so fake
At least the flat black actually does look like hammered wrought iron
It is a vintage look

And here are the rest of the handles, hinges...

That look quite sharp actually
Below are all of the square-ish hammered looking screws
Bonus points for painting all of them flat black to coordinate
I would have gladly bought new, but you just can't find them any longer

Exterior Paint - The Side Markings

The original curb-side paint design was just barely visible
I wiped it down with denatured alcohol and sanded it, and it was basically just a shadow
I wanted to get some paint on it now, before we paint the entire trailer so that the lines of the design will be visible to even mask it off - it was hard enough this way, I can't even imagine trying to mask it off the reverse outline.  This must have been the side that was alway in the sun, the other side is still good enough to see the design on.
Masked off with blue tape
Masked off
Green enamel was applied. "Italian Olive" I doubt this will be the final color.
Now the white looks exceptionally shabby...
Another view.  This is a really cool design...
